Montreal reacts to 43 Mexico missing

Last Wednesday a dozen people showed up to demonstrate outside of the Mexican Consulate in downtown Montreal. The protest came after activists interrupted the Consulate's Altar of the dead event on Saturday November 1.

Montreal Women Lock Down to Blockade Tar Sands Pipelines

At around 6:30am on October 7, four women locked themselves to the games of a Suncor oil refinery in Montreal's east end to take direct action against the tar sands and Enbridge's Line 9 pipeline. Enbridge is hoping to reverse the flow of Line 9 by November 1st in order to bring tar sands Bitumen from the west towards the east.

Walking With Our Sisters in Thunder Bay

Walking With Our Sisters is an art installation of about 1800 vamps or "uppers" honouring the lives of missing and murdered Indigenous women.  Communities are coming together accross turtle island in ceremony, while this sacred bundle travels over the next 7 years.
