Connie Hedegaard, Denmark’s minister for climate and energy and President of the meeting,  briefed civil society on progress in negotiations. Against all odds it sounds like Kyoto will continue and second agreement will be created to include the US and developing countries.  An outcome that we almost would never have hoped for.  She urges the NGOs to maintain and increase pressure.
