Act Up & Chow Down

It's time. We want to be vocal about eating local. We want your belly to be full, your drink to be on, and your energy to be pumped up about local, food activism! All local food activism is considered an act of solidarity with those adversely impacted by free trade agreements abroad.

As a group, we have been studying food security issues for a couple months, and now, we are going to throw the most rocking edible shindig you ever did see. The night will be full of eating, drinking, and enlightening each other with some presentations of the food projects we have been working on all term.

Expect live, local music performances and talent throughout the evening!

The project presentations will be mostly compiled video/audio and will illuminate issues and solutions surrounding:
-UBC Farm
-Gateway Project
-UBC Sprouts
-Other local food security issues

We will be serving up a feast of all fresh, mostly-local gourmet food made by all of us. Local brew is on tap. Come ready to fill yo' brain and yo' belly with fresh ideas about local food and what we can do to build a sustainable food communities.
