Do you ever find yourself sitting around home thinking, “Damn, I wish I could be editing some radical, grassroots, co-operative news?”

Then we've got the thing for you! The Media Co-op is looking for at-large editors to help edit regular content for our magazine, The Dominion, and for our news website, http://mediacoop.ca.

At-large editors are volunteer positions. Editors will be asked to edit articles on a rotating basis, not more than once a month. They will work with the writer and other members of the editorial collective to bring along articles from the pitch phase to final draft for publication (either online or in print).

While time commitment may vary, we are looking for people who can offer seven to twelve hours per month.

We'll provide you with our editing guide, style guide, training and support. Ideal volunteer candidates will already have experience editing or copy-editing print or online news and features. You'll also have a deep interest in media as a tool for social change and willingness to work with writers from a wide range of breakdowns.
