Photo Basics

Want to take photos for the Media Co-op but don't know where to start? Clueless about photo resolution and file size? Don't think you can use your cheap point-and-shoot to capture great images?

Here is a great booklet to get you started. Tips for good image composition and using advanced photography techniques with a point-and-shoot camera are included, as well as advice from murray bush, a regular contributor to the Vancouver Media Co-op, on taking photographs at actions, dealing with police, framing the shot and editing.

If you have any feedback, we would love to hear it!

There are two versions of the booklet, one meant for on-screen reading (web) and one meant for printing (print), which can be printed in batches and used as a resource in workshops or when tabling at conferences.
