Mr. Peter LaBarbera, age 51, is president of Americans For Truth about Homosexuality (AFTAH), which describes itself as a 'non-partisan, non-profit group dedicated to exposing the homosexual-bisexual-transgender activist agendas. It was founded in 1996. 

He is one of the 2 adult males who were charged with mischief after a failed attempt at an anti-gay demonstration at the University Of Regina on Monday April 14, 2014. 

The Regina Police Service Press Release titled '2 Adult Males Charged With Mischief' : 

"Two adult males, ages 46 and 51, have been charged with Mischief after an incident at the University of Regina this afternoon; Monday, April 14, 2014.

'"On Monday, April 14, 2014 at 1:13 p.m., police were dispatched to the University of Regina, in front of the Riddell Centre, for a report of an unwanted guest. When police arrived, they found individuals engaged in a presentation of images and statements. Police learned that University Security had asked the demonstrators to leave U of R property. Police also witnessed this exchange between Security and two adult males. When both men refused Security’s demand to leave, they were taken into custody, without incident, by police. Subsequent investigation, including consultation with the Crown, led to charges against two males, one of whom is a U-S citizen."

Forty-six year-old William Gary WHATCOTT, DOB: 1967-10-16, of Stoughton, SK; and 51 year-old Peter LaBARBERA, DOB: 1962-04-27, of Chicago, IL; are charged with Mischief [430(1)(c) CC] by “willfully interfering with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property, to wit: the University of Regina”. Both men were released on an Officer Undertaking with a court date of Monday, May 26, 2014.

An update added to the release later stated that 'Mr. Peter LaBARBERA was not released on an Officer Undertaking yesterday evening.  He was detained overnight at the request of the Canadian Border Services Agency.'
