 The 'Beautiful City Billboard Fee' is a unique initiative by local arts supporters who lobbied the Toronto City Council to pass a tax on billboards, finally succeeding on Dec. 7th 2009 (see 'Beautiful City Part 1') This segment was recorded at the INVOICE TOWNHALL March 1st 2010 community discussion focused where's the money going?, the continuing efforts to direct the billboard tax away from the general revenue and into specifically funding local arts, leading up the Operating Budget process April 15th & 16th 2010 featuring Councillor Adam Vaughan (Ward 20 Trinity-Spadina), Councillor Gord Perks (Ward 14 Parkdale-High Park), Rocco Achampong (Candidate for Mayor of Toronto 2010), & more...
