Algonquin protecting Sacred Site in Ottawa
Why is Asinabka - 'one of the four corners of the world' - at risk of commercial development while less than a mile away, Trudeau promises to honour Indigenous rights and reconciliation?
Nine Algonquin chiefs have opposed the 'Zibi' condo project planned by Windmill Inc. -- yet the company presents the development as a model of reconciliation, and no governments are taking action to protect the sacred site at Chaudière Falls in downtown Ottawa / Gatineau.
