Dr. Pamela Palmater is a Mi’kmaq lawyer of the Eel River Bar First Nation in northern New Brunswick. Recently, the Chair in Indigenous Governance and Academic Director of the Centre for Indigenous Governance at Ryerson University, spoke in Alberta at an Idle No More event.
 
In this video, she discusses the threats to the environment and to First Nations communities found in recent Conservative legislation, including Bill C-45 -- the Harper government's latest omnibus bill.
