Greeks remember Alexandros Grigoropoulos & and a call for collective reporting

This past weekend marked the one year anniversary of the shooting of 15-year old Alexandros Grigoropoulos, killed by Athenian police. At the time, some 10,000 people took to the streets immediately, attacking banks, government offices and large corporations.

The death of Alexandros was the last straw for many who were fed up with a right-wing government and a police service increasingly aligned with and supporting fascists and racists.

Over the last few days, Greeks took to the streets again. In fact, despite the complete lack of coverage in most major media outlets, people have been taking to the streets in Greece continuously since Alexandros' death. Occupied London has been doing a great job reporting and discussing these uprisings across the country. This includes posting live updates of the protests, along with photos and videos. Protests are conitnuing and the Athens Polytechnic has been occupied as well. There are widespread reports of intense police brutality (see video below), and a call has gone out for collective reporting on the ongoing situation.
