Remember, remember the 5th of November? For what was called the 'Million Mask March', Small but enthusiastic crowds of people in many cities did, attempting to bring attention to so many different issues at the same time it was perfectly summed up by one of the more popular handouts with a simple graphic and one sentence: The System Has Failed.

While many came with home-made masks, most used the 'official' plastic 'V For Vendetta' masks that are trademarked by Warner Bros as movie merchandise. The irony was not lost on anyone, but symbols are what they are.

Having noon hour events on a weekday in most cities didn't work well for a lot of people wanting to bring kids, and people having to work. The event could have been bigger, but impact was still made.

Police response was in every city has relaxed, from all reports the events were very friendly and non-aggressive.

Events were held in Toronto, Ottawa, Kingston, Kitchener Waterloo, London, Sudbury, Campbell River,Vancouver, Kelowana, Winnipeg, Halifax, Regina, Prince Albert, Moncton, Montreal, Edmonton, Lethbridge and  Calgary.
